NORDIC HEADS The Nordic Saltwater Shooting Heads are developed for the fly fishery along the Scandinavian coastlines. The unique tapers are designed for ultimate loop stability, distance control, turnover ability and presentation, for the flies used for Scandic saltwater fishing. All Nordic heads have a color code with a laser imprint showing the density/length/weight. In both ends of the heads, you will find small, soft and flexible loops. These loops, combined with the amazingly slick cold water coating, makes it easier to shoot and retrieve the heads any required distance when you’re fishing for the challenging Scandinavian sea trout. The Nordic Heads are made in two different densities. We have a standard floating version, which will cover most of the Scandinavian saltwater fishing. We also have a hover version, which means the line will sit “just below” the surface, giving you more control over the fly when there are big waves on the coastline that you are fishing. If you should need the hover versions to be able to fish deeper, you can combine them with the Logic sinking leaders. SHORT-CUT HEADS The Short-cut heads are very short heads that are designed to fish the challenging conditions you meet when fishing a narrow to medium river, where you want your fly to come down fast and also to swing fast. A triple density line like this, let alone for this purpose, has never existed before. We are therefore very excited to be the first to introduce it to the fly fishing market. The idea to design the Short-cut heads was inspired by some of the best Danish fly anglers, pro anglers like Henrik Møller Andersen and Kenny Frost, who spend count- less hours at Danish salmon and sea trout rivers every year. The heads are beautifully tapered with a delayed turnover capability, which ensures perfect precision and presentation. For best results and to complete the setup, the Short-cut heads should be used with our Logic coated leaders and Logic running lines. Salmologic’s Short-cut heads are the perfect tool for making contact with more salmon and sea trout in narrow rivers. Our goal is to make fly fishing it easier. With our new heads, we believe we have accomplished this. For now, there are two versions of these amazing heads. More are under develop- ment and will be tested this spring.
